Membership Requirements:

For sophomores and above:

1. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 (as shown on your transcript).

2. Must have taken and received a B grade or higher in at least three science classes at Berkeley excluding Nutritional Sciences 10, Astronomy 10, and Physics 10. Lab classes (i.e. Chem 1AL and Bio 1AL) DO count as separate classes from their respective lecture classes.

For second semester freshmen:

1. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.70 (as shown on your transcript).

2. Must have taken and received an A- grade or higher in at least one pre-medical science requirement (i.e. Chem 1A, Bio 1A, Physics 8A), EXCLUDING lab classes.

For first semester freshman:

• Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting applications from first semester freshmen. However, some exceptions may apply (i.e. those who have taken pre-medical science courses before entering UC Berkeley). Please email us if you think you are a special case (ucberkeleypmhs@gmail.com).
